Maternity & Childcare Consultancy

Women account for 46% of the UK workforce, 85% will fall pregnant during employment and 60% of these women say that childcare is their biggest concern when returning to work*.

Employers can now retain the money invested in these working mums by providing access to a team of childcare experts throughout the UK. Our Maternity & Childcare Consultancy is a unique one to one service that helps employees make the successful transition from working woman to working mum.

Why are employers providing Maternity Consultancy?

  • To retain their most talented female employees
  • To increase staff loyalty and engagement
  • To reduce stress and boost productivity
  • To encourage diversity and equality
  • To reduce recruitment and re-training costs
  • And to reduce the impact of maternity on colleagues and managers.

If the maternity journey isn't handled effectively then the employer will lose a valuable resource, often a wealth of knowledge, and will face the additional cost of recruitment.

Maternity & Childcare Consultancy involves...

Our consultants are available before, during and after maternity to listen, advise and assist in finding practical childcare solutions. Our nationwide team of experts will do everything and anything needed to put the right childcare solution in place for both work and family.

The key stages of a typical Maternity & Childcare Consultancy case are:

  1. The pregnant employee calls to initiate a consultancy case
  2. A local maternity consultant is assigned to her
  3. The mum-to-be and consultant meet to discuss her family's circumstances, budgets and preferences (at a time/place to suit her). At this time the consultant will advise and guide the employee on what to expect during the transition
  4. The consultant researches the available care solutions and creates a detailed "Care Needs Plan"
  5. The consultant is available to perform a practical childcare search based on all the requirements discussed with the mum-to-be
  6. Once care is in place the consultant is available for ongoing support

Childcare searches can and do include visiting nurseries and childminders; arranging backup care; and advertising, recruiting and interviewing nannies or au pairs.

Why are employers choosing My Family Care?
