1:1 Career Coaching for Carers

As the UK population steadily ages, an increasing number of employees face the challenge of balancing work with care commitments.

Many are taking care of elderly parents and even partners. Caring responsibilities tend to hit in later stages of a career when senior positions are reached and their time to personally attending to care can be limited.

There are many sudden challenges and questions:

  • What's the right care solution that allows me to balance work and the care needs of my dependent?
  • How much time do I have for attending to my dependent?
  • Can my career priorities remain the same? – What are they?
  • Can my working arrangements be flexible?
How will this affect my role and career prospects?
  • How can I speak to my manager or colleagues about this?
  • Who can I turn to for support?

Our combined Carer and Career Coaching approach will help your employees address these questions, clarify their answers and draw out action plans.

How does the Coaching work in practice?

We offer 2 levels of service:

  • 1:1 Coaching - where your employees explore their challenges and draw out a career action plan. It includes 4 to 6 coaching sessions
  • 1:1 Coaching and Dependent Care Consultancy - our coach and dependent care consultants work together to deliver a balanced career/carer plan and put a permanent care solution in place
  • You can also offer a workshop programme on similar topics for group participants.

Employees can use their coach for additional support in between sessions. Coaching sessions can be face-to-face or over the telephone.

  • To support senior level employees
  • To increase loyalty and retention
  • Optimise performance
  • Reduce training and recruitment costs
  • Minimise the risk of legal action or burn-out due to stress
