Like many companies of our size, we have a lot of employees relocating. We felt that Childcare Search could help make the process that little bit easier for our staff and help them to settle into their new homes and work-life more quickly.
Head of Benefits, Shell
We realise the importance of helping our employees balance work and life... Not only is it the right thing to do, but it also has a direct impact on our business and the future of our organisation.
Head of Employee Benefits, Investment Bank
We started providing this ground breaking benefit to our employees when our surveys suggested that the only barrier to our employees returning from maternity leave was finding suitable childcare provision.

By working with My Family Care, we are able to offer employees support in finding the right childcare or eldercare solution to meet their family needs.

Based on usage feedback we know that our employees are almost exclusively utterly delighted with the service that they receive, this reinforces the fact this is the right thing for us to do and that they're getting the support and help that they need.

Are you HR fit for the Olympics?

Nearly a third of British firms have not yet worked out basic plans to cope with a lack of staff and other disruptions from this summer's Olympic Games, a major survey from BT revealed this week

11/01/2012

With 197 days to go before the start of London 2012, the study of 1,200 businesses found that over 90% expect to be hit by supply chain disruption, higher hotel costs and staff attendance issues as employees attend Games events.

It would seem that these fears are well founded as research by recruitment company Badenoch &Clark shows that one in six UK employees is planning to a ‘sick day’ in order to watch the Olympics.

Preparation for the Olympics

Despite all this 29% of the companies polled by BT, including FTSE 100 firms, public sector organisations and SMEs admitted that they had not yet made any preparation for the games.
